Private Bespoke Tours

“Were I to say Paddy was an extraordinary guide, this would be a grave mischaracterisation; for Paddy isn’t just an exquisite guide, but an extraordinary person. Effortless in his charm, unquestionable In his knowledge, and as kind as they come, Paddy made my first time to Europe unforgettable. I only got to spend 3 days with him, and I’m quite young (22), but I wouldn’t hesitate to call him a true friend. He is nothing and everything like you’d expect. A master of his trade, and a true gentleman.”

Coleman Jennings July 2023 (Country and Western singer) Austin, Texas

“I cannot possibly thank you enough for our tour today - it was the highlight not only of this trip - but of any trip!!! I can’t say enough about your ability to accommodate everyone (my injury, TEENAGERS!!) without us even knowing an accommodation is afoot. Alexandra and I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday! I am so appreciative to our concierge for recommending you - everyone who comes to London should be so lucky!!”

“Seeing London through Paddy’s eyes should be a right of passage; the bespoke experience at his hands is second to none. His wealth of knowledge and expertise shows with every museum tour or walk down Savile Row. He does not disappoint…so much so that we cannot think of coming to London without contacting him for a new experience. I cannot rave enough about tours with him and I’m delighted that many of friends have also used him and will continue to use him in the future”

Eric Obeng June 2022

Jakob and Julius had a fantastic time and Jakob has told us in length about everything that they got to experience. We were amazed when he told us what he had achieved, as it looks quite difficult. Thank you so much for including Jakob. Truly a memory of a lifetime. My sons tell me that you are the coolest man they have ever met.

I think the world of Patrick (Paddy) Renouf. He is wildly well-connected, incredibly inventive, totally trustworthy and the consummate gentleman....and whilst this site is excellent, it does not do justice to the quality of the service he provides.

Thank you for very much for a really beautiful evening. It was completely flawless. Both the Chairman and Belinda are thrilled. Our client seemed blown away. I wouldn’t have changed a single thing! The catering, band the magician and in particular your good self and the lovely Nicky Philipps were all superb; everyone left having thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
— (A dinner and talk for 75 at the National Portrait Gallery). Lee Raftery, Chief Marketing Officer, NBC Universal Int. London
Renouf organised a series of truly unique, one-in-a-lifetime trips for our guests, including private tours and entrance to museum collections not open to the public. Renouf accomplished this with very little notice, in each case his attention to detail allowed us to present London in a way that our valued guests could never forget. He made every accommodation for the NBC team, our guests and was wonderful host. Despite the fact that I have had twenty years of experience with hospitality events, I can say that his performance topped them all by quite a margin. Renouf provides a service that is an invaluable asset to any company, or individual, aiming for a world class experience.
— Matt Bond, Executive Vice President, NBC Universal
I cannot thank Paddy enough for helping to make Hearst Magazines’ annual management meeting a huge success. Your in-depth knowledge of London, the local culture, neighbourhoods, fashion and customs, made your services absolutely indispensable. Your entire team were prompt, efficient, and adept at handling any and all things unexpected. We hope to use you on all of our corporate and VIP trips to London going forward. Thank you ever so much for your role in our annual meeting.
— Debra Shiver, Vice President Communications, Hearst Corporation
Paddy Renouf probably the most creative person I have ever meet in the travel industry.

Thank you for the fantastic experience...I thank you from my heart for these two lovely days and your exquisite delicacy, which was restful, energising, funny, exotic, charming and so entirely British. We are already looking forward to seeing you again soon.
— SG. March 2018, Moscow (Mother and daughter time in London for her 14th birthday).
Paddy Renouf is a cultured, curator of all things London. He is an aristocrat with an everyman’s flair or vice-versa if you like. His knowledge is deep and his charm considerable. Two years ago, we spent a few days touring London and have become fast friends. He is, above all, a good man to know. I would rely on him for the definitive history of London and the whole of England—had we but world enough and time!

A magical discovery awaits everyone, including families and children, when in the company of this urbane lovely man. I anticipate our next visit to England with relish and enthusiastically recommend him to any and all who might be interested in an irreplaceable, uniquely English experience.
— KELSEY GRAMMER - Frasier, Los Angeles and Broadway

Paddy Renouf is truly an expert in arranging the most unforgettable experiences. Paddy has made what I would have thought to be impossible possible more than once in my travel experiences with him. I and my daughters have had the pleasure of having Paddy make trips to London and New York City extraordinary. I always look forward to any travel that involves an experience coordinated by Paddy.
— Jodi Hamstra, Chicago

Since we returned to NYC all we do is talk about the amazing of an experience we had. You made us feel at home in a foreign country we had never been to. We both told our friends who couldn’t believe what we said, that after being born and raised in NYC we could see ourselves living in London one day. All of which is a true compliment to you and the experience you showed us. We got the chance to experience London through one of the classiest people I have ever met. The day in the country may have been one of my favorite days I have ever had on vacation. You fit the experience perfectly to our personalities and what we were looking for and we both cannot than you enough .

John and Danielle Guarino, Wall Street NYC

Knowing that my young sons love design, Patrick arranged for the family to visit the College of Arms, where the boys were introduced to the art and science of the design of centuries of heraldic arms, and also to visit one of the most innovative product design studios in London, where the boys saw how the Concorde itself was redesigned for greater comfort in flight. My Wife and I cannot thank Patrick enough for creating these experiences, which had tremendous impact on our sons, and which created indelible, lifetime memories for us as a family.
— Sandy Climan, President, Entertainment Media Ventures, Los Angeles (Award Winner for the Aviator)

Can you imagine anyone you know, much less any tour guide you’ve ever had, being confident enough to try a new sport, by you closing your eyes and teaching them how to master it? Now imagine that sport is ice skating, and you without sight are leading your “guide” who has never skated before around the rink until he too is gliding smoothly beside you. Well, this is what the most memorable part of my experience with Paddy was like, and what truly showed me what a great person he is. Being blind, I often have to trust people more than I’d like, but it isn’t often that they trust me in return, especially only after just having met me - as Paddy so impressively did. After that experience I had no doubt that I had made the right decision in utilizing Paddy’s services.
Being blind, in England for the first time, and completely on my own, I wanted a chance to explore the city; but needless to say, I was a bit overwhelmed around what to do, and a bit terrified as to how I would do it. Fortunately, I was put in touch with Paddy, and all my apprehensions were for not. Unbelievably, in one day with him I got a unique, specialized adventure highlighting diverse aspects of London that appealed to my personal interests. I felt as if in just one day I got a bit of everything I might have wanted (had I known what I wanted) and more; everything from the historical landmarks of St Pauls Cathedral and Fleet Street, to sitting in on a court session in progress, protesters at Parliament, a spontaneous propaganda rally, Tea at an exclusive, members only club, and of course ice skating at Somerset House; all accompanied by interesting and colorful anecdotes from Paddy, making my experience much more than merely “sight-seeing.”
More than anything though, it was Paddy’s warm and engaging personality that made my one day in London a trip to remember. Being blind, it is rare that I come across an individual who is as open, comfortable, and adaptable to my lack of sight, as Paddy was. Upon meeting him I instantly felt at ease letting this total stranger know how best to guide me and answering his question of what might make my tour of London’s “sights” more enjoyable without sight. Instead of being shuttled around a monotonous string of tourist attractions, my experience with Paddy was like exploring an exciting city with an old friend.
— Courtney Mazzola, (blind from birth)

— Jennifer Lemberger and Family, Los Angeles
My mother and aunt so thoroughly enjoyed your tour around England and the eight days they spent with you. Thank you very much for all of your help.
— Kevin Bell, Boston, Massachusetts
Renouf is not only incredibly charming and intelligent; he is a genuinely caring person. I opted for a 4-hour tour which I quickly extended to the 8-hour tour after an absolutely delightful morning of sightseeing and conversation. He is James Bond armed with a Rolex rather than a gun - Paddy knows everyone, and you get the distinct impression that the names he is withholding are the ones where he would have to kill you if he told you. Paddy Renouf is the best way to get to know London and the best way to get London to know you. After just 8 hours in his care, I consider Paddy a personal friend and I consider going on a tour with him as the best decision I made this entire round the world trip. It was delightful, truly a great not to be missed. My brother James (18 years-old) put it best when he said to me,
“Paddy is the only ‘bro’ over 50 that I would go out to dinner with.” That kind of intangible cross generational appeal is a gift, one that I hope he continues to share.”
— Brendan Pickering, San Francisco
I just emailed Quintessentially with glowing remarks about you and our trip to London. I have passed along your name and number to a friend of mine that has a private Tour Company. We really had a fun time with you. Thank you.
— Pam Ward, Las Vegas
Age seems to a barrier for many things....a different tone of voice or a different manner of speaking, when addressing children or young adults. Consequently, the confidence is held back in those young people, and it inhibits the potential for conversation between generations. It took Paddy Renouf one friendly glance to lift all boundaries and spark some of the most intelligent, insightful and candid conversation I have ever had. He takes spontaneous personal connection to a whole different level, then makes a lasting friendship - all the while being the best ambassador to any city I’ve been in all fifteen years of my life.
— Becket Cerny, Los Angeles

I simply cannot verbalise enough how wonderful Paddy is. A truly unforgettable experience that surpassed our expectations. And we have high expectations! The entire day was so well planned and executed, it flowed flawlessly, thus creating magical memories that will stay with us a lifetime. It was a pleasure and a privilege to have enjoyed his company and joie de vivre! Maria Frederick & John Rost.. Miami March 2019
